Meanings Behind Historic Tombstones Will Be Subject of Talk

Have you ever wondered about the symbolism of historic tombstones and cemetery monuments you might have seen throughout the area? If so you won’t want to miss a talk the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society will present Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at the former Christ Lutheran Church of Lower Saucon (now Saucon Community Church), 2190 Easton Road, Bethlehem.

Historian, photographer and author of the 2016 book ‘Engraved: The Meanings Behind 19th Century Tombstones’ Tammy E. Schane will be the speaker.

The public is invited to attend the talk, which is free to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
