Following longtime police chief Guy Lesser’s retirement in September, Lower Saucon Township officials are searching for a new chief to head the township police department, and as part of that process they are asking for the community’s input.

To help facilitate the collection of input, the township has developed an online survey that takes about 10 minutes to complete.

The anonymous survey includes a variety of multiple choice questions in which survey-takers are asked to rank things like police chief qualifications and priorities for the new chief from “most important” to “fifth most important.”

A specific question is: “In your opinion, how safe is Lower Saucon Township compared to other communities?” Possible answers to that question include: Much More Safe, Slightly More Safe, About the Same, Less Safe and Much Less Safe.

The survey provides a field in which individuals can record additional comments.
