A Hellertown man is facing numerous charges–including false imprisonment and simple assault–after police say he allegedly assaulted a woman who was found screaming for help from an upstairs bedroom window in a Main Street apartment Friday night, WFMZ Channel 69 News reported Monday.

According to the news station’s website, Kevin Mantell, 27, of the 1300 block of Main Street, allegedly pulled the woman’s hair, bit her, hit her and threw a TV at her head–causing bruising–before and after she tried to leave his apartment shortly before 10:30 p.m.

Mantell was jailed in lieu of 10 percent of $6,500 bail following a preliminary arraignment before District Judge Richard Yetter, according to court records.

Mantell is also charged with harassment, according to records.
