2 Purses Stolen from Cars Parked Outside Gym, Police Say

Two women’s purses were stolen from cars in separate incidents outside a Lower Saucon Township fitness center early Friday morning, township police said Tuesday.

Two women’s purses were stolen from cars in separate incidents outside a Lower Saucon Township fitness center early Friday morning, township police said Tuesday.

According to a police news release, the purses were visible inside locked cars in the parking lot of Maxx Fitness, 3691 Rt. 378, when a thief or thieves smashed a window in order to steal them between 8 and 9 a.m.

“Police are urging everyone to keep any valuables inside your vehicle out of sight or to lock them in the trunk whenever possible,” the news release said.

Police also put a post about the thefts on their Facebook page.

Anyone with information about the purse thefts is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110 or 610-759-2200.
