Boy Assaulted Teachers, Damaged Walls of Classroom, Police Say

A 12-year-old boy from Hellertown is charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and institutional vandalism after Lower Saucon Township Police say he allegedly assaulted two teachers Thursday.

A 12-year-old boy from Hellertown is charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and institutional vandalism after Lower Saucon Township Police say he allegedly assaulted two teachers while being disruptive at Saucon Valley Middle School, 2095 Polk Valley Road, on the afternoon of Jan. 11.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said the boy also allegedly damaged walls, a countertop and a telephone in a classroom during the outburst.

Following an investigation, charges have been referred to Northampton County Juvenile Probation authorities, police said.
