Items Reported Stolen From Unlocked Cars in Hellertown

Hellertown Police are reminding residents to lock their cars after several thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported recently.

Hellertown Police are reminding residents to lock their cars after several thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported recently.

In a news release Friday, police said they received three reports that cars had been entered and items taken in the 300 block of Spruce Street and the 800 block of New York Avenue.

Police said two the vehicles were unsecured, and a third was entered through a “vent shade.”

The thefts occurred between 9 p.m. on July 14 and 9:47 a.m. the following day.

“Residents are encouraged to secure their vehicles,” police said.
