Defense attorneys for a former Lower Saucon Township man who is accused of being a serial rapist of women both in the Lehigh Valley and around the country as well as human trafficking were in Northampton County Court Wednesday for a pre-trial conference where they argued that evidence obtained from their client’s smartphone and laptop should be suppressed, since–they claim–some of it may have been obtained before search warrants were properly secured, WFMZ-TV Channel 69 News reported.

According to the article published on the Channel 69 News website, Northampton County Judge Stephen Baratta also heard testimony from police investigators in the case involving Seth Mull, 30, including Bethlehem police Det. Brian Quinn, who interviewed Mull in October 2017 after police responded to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Cherry Lane near Hellertown for a report of a rape victim being held against her will.

Mull is facing a long list of charges for that alleged rape, including rape-forcible compulsion (a first-degree felony), strangulation-applying pressure to throat or neck (Felony 2), terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another (Misdemeanor 1), simple assault (Misdemeanor 2) and unlawful restraint/serious bodily injury (Misdemeanor 1).

He remains incarcerated at Northampton County Prison in lieu of $500,000 straight bail, court records show.

According to court records, Mull’s next court date is Oct. 1.
