A 54-year-old Hellertown woman is facing two counts of simple assault and other charges related to an alleged domestic disturbance that occurred last week, according to police.
In a news release Monday, police said Margaret Anne Harrison was arrested following a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Detweiler Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Oct. 3.
According to police and court records, Harrison is also charged with harassment, criminal mischief and public drunkenness, all of which are summary offenses. The simple assault charges are second-degree misdemeanors.
Harrison remains incarcerated in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 straight bail following a preliminary arraignment that was held Oct. 3 before District Judge Jacqueline Taschner, according to court records.
A preliminary hearing before Taschner is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 17.
