On the sixth day of showcasing Panther football record holders, Saucon Source is proud to recognize senior, Justin Kyra.
Measuring in at 5’6″, 145 and wearing #22, Justin made plays all over the field. He finds himself in the Saucon Valley record books, however, for his defense and Special Teams play. Justin cracked the Top-10 for Season Interceptions. He finds himself tied for the 9th spot with three interceptions that he picked-off during the 2018 season. He also holds the 7th spot in Career Punt Return Yardage (143) and the 5th spot in Career Kickoff Return Yardage (526).
Who’s #1 with Season Interceptions? Alstan Wolfe (2017), Robbie Kressler (2007) and Mike Shreve (2006) each had six interceptions in a season.
Who’s #1 with Career Punt Return Yardage? Alstan Wolfe (2014-2017) had 263 Career Punt Return Yards.
Who’s #1 with Career Kickoff return Yardage? Brandon Shuck (2007-2010) had 795 Career Kickoff Return Yards.
Justin said it: “My favorite memory of the season would have to be beating Northwestern the second time we played the them this season.”
Coach Sams said it: “Justin is a very athletic player. He led our team in interceptions on defense and scored touchdowns running and catching the ball. He was also a solid tackler for us on defense. Justin knew how to avoid a block because he had quick hands and great feet. As a kick returner he did an excellent job and was a member on several special teams. “
