Joseph Samuel Forte, 87, Bethlehem Township died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Anderson Campus. He was the husband of Margie I. (Hollowell) Forte. He was born in Pittston on May 18, 1931 to Leonard and Julia (Lombardi) Forte. Joseph served our country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked at Bethlehem Steel. Joseph was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He loved flea-marketing, metal detecting, playing billiards and cards. He especially loved spending time with his family.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 64 years; children: Leonard, Joseph (Leslie), David (Karen), Daniel (Sharon); grandchildren: Joseph, Emily, Sarah, Jacob, Nicole, Johnathan; former daughter-in-law: Elaine. He was predeceased by brothers: John and Nuncio.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018 at Sacred Heart RC Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem. There will be no calling hours. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
