George J. Donovan, 72, of Williams Township, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.

George J. Donovan, 72, of Williams Township, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s.Donovan He was the husband of Catherine Mary (Jeronis) Donovan. He was born in Philadelphia on Dec. 11, 1946 to the late Joseph Michael and Hettie E. (Carr) Donovan. George served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army Reserves. He owned and operated the former George J. Donovan AIA & Associates, now named Phillips and Donovan Architects, LLC, in Bedminster. He was an accomplished watercolor artist, exhibiting his work in the Upstairs Gallery in Peddlers Village, Lahaska. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Riegelsville.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 50 years; children: Heather Catherine Donovan (H. Joseph) Phillips of Dublin, Christian George (Colleen) Donovan of Kintnersville; sister: Kathleen (Daniel) Cloherty of Venice, Fla.; grandchildren: Catalyn, Liam, Kiersten and Joseph Phillips. He was predeceased by brothers: J. Michael and Daniel Donovan.

SERVICE

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 345 Elmwood Lane, Riegelsville, PA 18077. There will be no calling hours. The interment will conclude services at Riegelsville Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at the church hall following the interment. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

CONTRIBUTIONS
