The free summer concert season in Hellertown began a week early this year with a performance by four “Songbirds” in Dimmick Park Sunday. Sunny, warm weather drew local residents to the lawn in front of the bandshell to hear their sweet harmonies.

The “Songbirds” are four local singers who recently began performing together.

The members of the group are: Ameliarose, who’s appeared on American Idol; singer-songwriter Emily Noel; singer-songwriter and Josie award winner Leah Fuls; and singer-songwriter Kennedy Pacchioli, who is a Saucon Valley Middle School student and the group’s youngest member.

It was an extra special day for Kennedy, who celebrated her birthday and also debuted an original single, “Breathe In,” at the show.
