A man who allegedly terrorized a Lehigh County innkeeper before throwing a plastic food container at him is wanted by Pennsylvania State Police.
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers announced via their Crimewatch site Tuesday that Troop M-Bethlehem is investigating an assault that allegedly occurred around 7 p.m. July 25, when four men entered the lobby of the Scottish Inn & Suites at 1701 Catasauqua Road in Hanover Township.
Police said the men came to the lobby to complain about the room they were given.
While in the lobby one of the men (pictured at right) “attempted to hit the clerk and then threw a Tupperware container at him” before fleeing from the motel, police said.
Police noted that two of the other men “were detained and…identified as New York City residents.”
Those men “provided a possible first name of Mike for the suspect,” according to police, who added that “the clerk reported that the suspect had been at the hotel before and could possibly be from the Allentown or Bethlehem area.”
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police’s Bethlehem barracks by calling 610-861-2026 and asking for Cpl. Thomas DiMaggio.
Information can also be reported via the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free tip line: 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
