An Allentown man is charged with criminal mischief, Hellertown Police said Monday, after he allegedly threw a can at another person’s car, damaged a car windshield, broke a cell phone and left the discarded can in a parking lot.

Police said in a news release that Daniel E. Barbosa, 24, was intoxicated when he allegedly threw the Four Loko can and committed the other damage at around 3:40 a.m. Aug. 31.

Four Loko is a brand of malt beverage that was once marketed as a type of energy drink.

Barbosa is also charged with public drunkenness and littering, according to the news release.

According to court records, in late July Barbosa was charged with disorderly conduct in a separate case in Lower Saucon Township.

A preliminary hearing in that case had not yet been held as of Monday.
