Fans of Playa Bowls, the popular fruit bowl and smoothie chain that already has locations in Bethlehem and Easton, soon won’t have to leave Saucon Valley to get their fix of açaí, pitaya, coconut and other exotic flavors.
A new Playa Bowls at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley will open this Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m., the business confirmed Thursday.
The three local franchises are owned by Jim and Susan Dale, and dozens of other Playa Bowls locations are located throughout the U.S., mainly in New Jersey and elsewhere along the East Coast.
According to a post announcing Saturday’s opening on Instagram (@PlayaBowlsPromenade), the new store will begin to offer delivery via GrubHub in one or two weeks. Hours for it have not yet been announced, however the Dales’ two other stores are both open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
The new store in the Promenade Shops is located in the shopping center’s Patio area, which includes outdoor seating and games, and in addition to tropical-themed fruit-based bowls will also serve poke bowls made with ingredients such as ahi tuna, wild Gulf shrimp, seaweed and mango.
Following closely on the heels of Playa Bowls at the Promenade Shops will be Bath & Body Works, which is scheduled to open on the Town Square sometime in October.
The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley is located at 2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley PA 18034.
