The stone-walled Tavern Room in the historic Heller-Wagner Grist Mill came to life with the sights and sounds of Christmas at the Hellertown Historical Society’s annual Holiday Open House Friday.

Entertainment, refreshments, museum tours and catching up with old friends were highlights of the evening. Another highlight was visiting the model train display next door to the grist mill in the basement of the Miller’s House.

Mark your calendars for the next fun and festive event at the grist mill. On Sunday, Dec. 15, Santa will visit from noon to 4 p.m. This is when the historical society will also host its annual Shopping at the Mill with crafters and other vendors selling their wares in the Tavern Room.
