William Frederick Louis Prueter (1961 – 2025)
William Frederick Louis Prueter was born in New York City on Oct. 1, 1961, to Theodore H. and Mary Elaine (Kluge) Prueter. He died at The Good Shepherd Home in Allentown, Pa., on Jan. 27, 2025, after living there for 12 years. He was married to Linda Ruth (Weidemoyer) Prueter, of Hellertown, Pa., for over 33 years. Bill moved to Michigan with his family when he was three years old. He attended Waterford Township Public schools, graduating from Waterford Township High School in 1979. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and became an aircraft electrician. He served primarily at RAF Bentwaters in England and at Andrews AFB in Maryland. He retired as a Staff Sergeant due to disability in 1986. He then attended The Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1990 with a degree in Fine Arts. He attended American University, graduating in 1996 with a Master of Arts degree in Education. He taught art classes to students in Preschool and in Adult Education through Prince George’s County Community College and other adult programs.

SURVIVORS
He is survived by his wife; two brothers: Timothy H. (Kim) of Commerce, Mich., and Richard J. of Fenton, Mich. He is also survived by two nephews: Andrew (Colleen) and David (Ashley); and one niece: Emily (Eric) Hensel. He is survived by two great nephews: Ryan and Rowan; and a great niece: Olivia.
SERVICES
Bill was a member of Grace Church in Bethlehem, Pa. Family and friends are invited to a calling period there from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The calling period will be followed by a memorial service at the church, which is located at 4301 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintzelman Funeral Home of Hellertown, Pa. Interment will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich., at a later date.
