Caroline M. Sedli, 87, of Springfield Township, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at St. Luke’s University Hospital & Health Network, Fountain Hill. She was born in Springfield Township on Sept. 15, 1927 to the late Charles W. & Clara (Moyer) Sharrer. Caroline was one of the first females hired in labor to work at Bethlehem Steel, where she was employed for many years until retiring.

SURVIVORS

Loving son: Eugene W. Sedli of Shorewood, Wisc.; brother: Stanley (Mary) Sharrer of New York; grandson: Charles C. Sedli of Milwaukee, Wisc. She was predeceased by a sister: Doris B. Carlton (2014).

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Springtown Cemetery, Springfield Township.
