The Lower Saucon Township Police Department’s ranks have increased following the swearing in of a new officer at last week’s council meeting.

Jerel M. Foster was administered the police oath by Northampton County District Judge Alan Mege during the meeting.

Foster is a 2011 Dieruff High School graduate who earned a criminal justice associate’s degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2015 and graduated from the Allentown Police Academy in 2023, according to a LSTPD Facebook post.

He previously worked for the Lehigh University Police Department, township police said.
