Charlotte A. Slifer (1941 – 2025)

Charlotte A. Slifer, 83, of the Borough of Quakertown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, in Quakertown. She was the wife of the late Raymond Slifer and the late Robert F. Long. Born in Quakertown on Oct. 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Clymer) Elliott. Charlotte worked as a seamstress in the textile industry for many years. She attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Applebachsville, and in her free time enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, reading and attending yard sales.

SURVIVORS

Survivors include her children: David K. (Cathy A.) Long of Quakertown, and Tina L. Long (Ralph Sulzbach) of Coopersburg; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; stepson: James K. Long of Riegelsville. She was predeceased by her siblings: Robert, Christine and Gerald; and stepson: Jay R. Slifer.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown.
