Marjorie Annette Stoody

Marjorie Annette Stoody, 81, of Easton, passed away at Alexandria Manor, Nazareth, on Dec. 21, 2025. Annette was born in Pueblo, Colo., to the late Herman and Mary Jean (Jones) Johnson. She was raised in Denver, Colo. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Whittier College, a master’s degree from Westminster College and a Doctor of Education from Widener University. She taught special education students in Illinois, Colorado and Pennsylvania. Annette concluded her educational career and retired as a vice principal at Norristown Area High School in Pennsylvania. She moved to Easton after her retirement, while continuing to educate online. While a resident of Easton, she was an active member of the American Association of University Woman, the Arts Community of Easton (ACE) and volunteered at the Jane Moyer Library of Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society. She was an avid seamstress, crafter and enjoyed cooking and reading.
SURVIVORS
She is survived by her children: John (Eve) Stoody of Alexandria, Va., Della (Joel) of Manitou Springs, Colo., and Amanda of Philadelphia, Pa.; her grandchildren: Jack and George Stoody, and Ellery Lane; her siblings: Margie Tom and Kenneth Johnson of Hawaii; and her significant other: Howard McGinn of Easton.
SERVICES
