Man Accused of Assault in Springfield Township
A 31-year-old man is charged with simple assault and terroristic threats for allegedly striking another man in the head.

According to Springfield Township Police, Aleksey Sergeyevich was arrested after officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 800 block of State Road around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
In a post on the department’s Crimewatch site, they said the alleged assault sent the other man to the hospital.
Sergeyevich is also accused of threatening “other people in the home.”
According to court records, he was committed to the Bucks County Correctional Institution in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 bail following a preliminary arraignment before District Judge Michael Gallagher Tuesday morning.
A preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Gambardella is scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 23, according to the court docket filed in the case.
The docket did not list an attorney for Sergeyevich, whose listed address was in Coopersburg.
