Panther Play of the Week: Lugardo Gains On Sprint Draw

After a few weeks straight of fighting through games that came down to the wire, Saucon Valley was taken out behind the wood shed and beaten badly on Friday night.  The Panthers did battle and the score was close for about half of the game.  But, the wheels wobbled and they did eventually fall off.  There weren’t a whole lot of Panther highlights, but we did find this “sprint draw” that did Saucon some good.  Check it out!

Tigers Tame Panthers

Last week, the Saucon Valley high school football team lost in the final seconds against the Wilson Warriors.  Friday night, the Panthers fell hard to Colonial League, preseason favorite Northwestern Lehigh.  The Tigers overcame a sluggish start to dominate the Panthers.  Northwestern eventually hit their stride to cruise to a 36-0 victory.

Panthers Destroy Crusaders’ Hopes for a Win on Senior Night

It is an unwritten rule that high school soccer teams choose to have their senior day when they are playing a team they feel they can easily beat. Last week, the Panthers fell in the last seconds to the Wilson Warriors during a Saturday afternoon clash.  This week, Saucon Valley will have the herculean task of stopping the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers on Friday night.

Panther Play of the Week: Evan Deily Gets To Right Place At Right Time

It was another nail-biter classic for Saucon Valley on Saturday against the Wilson Warriors.  It took every minute of all four quarters to determine the winner.  Saucon came up just a little short and the Panthers fell to a 5-2 record, but they are still alive in the District XI playoffs.  The game against the Warriors was not all doom and gloom.  Check out this gem!

Panthers Scalped By Warriors

The Panther football program has been making a living lately living on the edge.  The past two weeks Saucon Valley was able to hold on for victory in a couple of tight games.  Saucon survived to hold off the Northern Lehigh Bulldogs two weeks ago.  Last week, the Panthers had to rally late to secure a homecoming victory against the Bangor Slaters.  Saturday at Wilson, it was the Warriors that supplied the late game heroics in a very competitive battle.
