According to the watch, four to eight inches of snow is possible after rain that falls during a brief warmup Wednesday changes back to frozen precipitation.

ā€œThe amount of snow accumulation Wednesday night and Thursday will depend on how quickly the rain changes to snow and if sleet lasts longer during the transition,ā€ the watch statement said.

Ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are also possible.

The Lehigh Valley Weather Authority–a Facebook forecaster–is also predicting 4 to 8 inches to fall, with as much as six to 10 inches possible in the Philadelphia area, according to a post.
