Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a retail theft incident they say occurred Friday at approximately 10:24 p.m. at the Giant supermarket on Leithsville Road.
In a post to the department’s Facebook page Sunday morning, police said the men–who were captured on store surveillance footage–allegedly left without paying for $502.41 worth of groceries, including diapers, Tide laundry detergent and deli items.
Police said the men “were in the store for nearly an hour concealing/bagging the groceries” before walking out and leaving in a white four-door sedan with a black or dark-colored driver’s side front door and a sunroof.
In a separate news release, police said the men–who are believed to be white or possibly Hispanic–were able to conceal the merchandise with plastic bags they obtained from the front end of the store.
One of the men can be seen smoking as he exits the store in a surveillance image.
Anyone who can identify the individuals or who has information about the incident is asked to contact Lower Saucon Police at 610-317-6110 and reference case number 20150321M6965.
Over the past month, the Giant in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center has been the scene of several other alleged shoplifting incidents.
