Est. Read Time: 2 minsDozens of family members and friends were on hand to watch as five Webelos II who have been members of Cub Scout Pack 319 for five years became Boy Scouts in a candlelit “Bridge Ceremony” held at First UCC in Hellertown Friday night.

Hunter Gress, Dante Mahaffey, Joseph DiRusso, Nicholas Gawronski and Evan Hawk symbolically crossed a wooden bridge constructed with boards carved with the 12 tenets of the Boy Scout Code: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.
The evening also included the pack’s annual father-son Cake Bake, which featured more than a dozen creatively decorated baked cakes evaluated by a panel of judges.
