A Lower Saucon Township councilwoman who is currently running for re-election was the victim of a recent tire slashing, township police said in a news release Monday.
It is not known if the vandalism was a random act, however Priscilla deLeon had to replace her car’s rear passenger side tire for safety reasons at a cost of $245, the release indicated.
Police said the tire was cut with a sharp instrument sometime between May 12 and the afternoon of May 15, while the car was parked in the 2100 block of Saucon Avenue, Steel City.
Anyone with information about this incident–which is being investigated as criminal mischief–is asked to call the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.
