The owners of the Art Cafe–a new Lower Saucon Township eatery that will serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday–celebrated months of hard work to ready the Rt. 378 restaurant for guests with a soft opening Thursday night.
Attendees including Saucon Source publisher Josh Popichak were treated to a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres, a champagne toast and a three-course meal that included salad, petite filet of beef and a decadent chocolate mousse and mini cannoli dessert.
Owners Ann and Rick Takacs were joined by their staff, contractors, friends, family members and supporters from the Small Business Development Center at Lehigh University, as well as Vincent O’Domski–a district director for U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent–for a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was a highlight of the evening.
The Art Cafe will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will officially open to the public on Monday, June 8.
It is located at 3610 Rt. 378, Bethlehem, in the Black River Plaza shopping center.
