A Lansdale man was cited for speeding, Lower Saucon Township Police said Wednesday, after he allegedly admitted to driving too fast before he crashed his car on Springtown Hill Road near Erin Lane early Tuesday.

In a news release, police said Justin Carter, of the 300 block of E. Seventh Street, lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road and crashed sideways into a tree at about 12:50 a.m.

Two passengers in Carter’s car were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
