A music video by an up-and-coming pop-rap singer-songwriter that was filmed in a well-known Hellertown watering hole has already netted more than 350,000 views on VEVO and YouTube, just weeks after its release.
Parts of the video for “Love Hurts” by Demetrius were filmed at Beer Mussels Bar and Grille, which is located at 1214 Main Street.
The front of the building and its sign are prominently featured in the music video, which was produced by former Saucon Valley teacher Dale Schneck.
“When I wrote, directed and produced Demetrius’ music video for his first record release ‘Love Hurts,’ we needed a bar location for the opening sequence,” Schneck explained. “I have always been impressed by young entrepreneurs like former student Chris Kern who created a thriving business at his Beer Mussels Bar and Grille… Chris allowed the cast and crew to use his newly-renovated establishment for the video shoot.”
He added that Kern–one of his former students at Saucon Valley–appears in the video as the bartender serving the lead characters.
“Having taught in the Saucon Valley School District from 1984 to 1998, one of the benefits was meeting so many remarkable people, including students who have since gone on to business and job successes,” Schneck said.
Students from DeSales University’s Film & TV Department worked on and appeared in the video production as extras, he noted.
Grisha Pictures of Harrisburg provided technical crew and cinematographers, and post-production editing was supervised by Chuck Gloman, Film & TV Department chair at DeSales.
The single for “Love Hurts” is available for download or streaming on iTunes, Google and Amazon.

This clown did not get 300k views. A simple Google search will show you how easy it is to buy thousands of “views” on youtube. Then you notice that all of the comments are generic and posted by random people in India. This dude is a joke.
