Public Drunkenness Arrest Escalated Because Man Was ‘Uncooperative,’ Police Say

A man who was being arrested for public drunkenness in the 1000 block of Main Street early Tuesday has been charged with additional offenses because he was allegedly uncooperative, Hellertown Police said in a news release Wednesday.

A man who was being arrested for public drunkenness in the 1000 block of Main Street early Tuesday has been charged with additional offenses because he was allegedly “uncooperative,” Hellertown Police said in a news release Wednesday.

According to police, James Ronald Fluck Jr., 39, of the 1600 block of Zimpfer Lane, Hellertown, was also charged with resisting arrest, insitutional vandalism, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats following the 2:01 a.m. incident.

Police said a probation detainer was issued for Fluck, who was committed to Northampton County Prison after his arrest.
