Louisa L. (Seifert) Schrantz, 94, of Hellertown, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the widow of Arthur L. Schrantz, who died Oct. 28, 2007. She was born in Hellertown on June 26, 1921 to the late Charles and Annie Catherine (Kichline) Seifert. Louisa and her husband owned and operated the former Sanitary Food Market, Bethlehem for 15 years. She was a faithful member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hellertown American Legion. Louisa was an active volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for 30 years and was recently honored for 13,000 hours of volunteer work.

Daughter: Dawne L. wife of Gary F. Pender of Cave Creek, Ariz.; grandchildren: Kimberly and Todd Pender; great-granddaughters: Ariana and Tori. She was predeceased by siblings: Annie Catherine Doll, Cpl. Charles C. Seifert.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at First UCC, 501 Northampton St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
