Robert Peter Csakany, 90, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.Csakany. Robert He was the husband of Ethel Csakany, who preceded him in death in September 2015. He was born in Bethlehem on Aug. 9, 1925 to the late Louis Csakany and Stella Kiss Csakany. Bob, in addition to being a loving husband and father, worked for Bethlehem Steel for 38 years and served his country in the Army during World War II. He was a gentle man loved by many, whose great pleasure was spending time with his family. He will be remembered fondly for his kindness, his grace on the dance floor, the joy he derived from working in his yard and his love of sport. The family is particularly grateful for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Timothy Scharle and Dr. Anna Niewiarowska and their staffs.

SURVIVORS

Daughters: Cathy C. (Peter L.) Hickling of Columbia, Md., Patricia C. (Joseph T.) Adams of Portland, Ore. He was predeceased by a brother: William; and sisters: Josephine and Anna.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055. The calling hour will be followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
