A Lower Saucon Township man is charged with simple asssault and harassment, after police say he assaulted a woman during a domestic disturbance at his home in the 1500 block of Bette Lane in the early morning hours of June 12.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Muddassir M. Mirza, 20, was “leaving the scene in a BMW” when officers responded to his residence shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Police said the victim of the alleged assault suffered a sprained wrist and a scraped knee.

According to court records, Mirza is free on $1,500 unsecured bail, and faces a preliminary hearing before District Judge David Tidd on June 22.
