Pearl L. Gaither, 85, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown.

Pearl L. Gaither, 85, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Calvin C. “Jack” Gaither, who died Dec. 29, 2008. She was born in Upper Saucon Township on Nov. 6, 1930 to the late Lewin and Dorothy (Eisenhart) Schleppy. She worked as a seamstress for Millcrest in Fountain Hill for several years. Pearl was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township, Beethoven Waldheim and the Spring Valley Ladies Auxiliary.

SURVIVORS

Children: Donna D. (Curtis P.) Doll of Coopersburg, Jack D. (Catharine M.) Gaither of Lower Saucon Township, Larry J. Gaither and Lee N. Gaither, both of Center Valley; brother: Dennis L. Schleppy of Lansdale; grandchildren: Zachary P. (Amy) Doll, Samantha J. (Ryan) Pudloski, Ethan D. Gaither, Hannah C. Gaither; great-grandchildren: Quinn Pudloski, Lila Pudloski, Carter Doll, Landon Doll. She was predeceased by a brother: William Schleppy.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Thursday. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
