Lower Saucon Township Police are hoping the public can help them identify a man they say caused a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of Yianni’s Taverna, a Greek restaurant located at 3760 Old Philadelphia Pike, on Saturday.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said the accident happened at about 5:20 p.m.

Surveillance video from the restaurant shows a silver Chrysler operated by an “older male” backing into a parked maroon Ford Taurus owned by an Easton woman and then leaving without stopping, police said.

Immediately after the accident, police said a witness notified the car’s owner.

Police posted on their Facebook page a surveillance photo of the man and a companion getting into his car.

Anyone with information about them is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
