William K. Prosser, 85, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township.

William K. Prosser, 85, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township.prosser He was the husband of Lois M. (Martin) Prosser. He was born in Bethlehem on March 18, 1931 to the late William F.D. and Elsie (Knoble) Prosser. William served our country faithfully in the U.S. Amy during the Korean War. He co-owned the former Prosser’s Drug Store, Hellertown, for many years until retiring, and had previously worked on the Dewey Fire Co. Ambulance Squad. William was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown, and Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown. He enjoyed our national parks–visiting every state–and was an avid card player.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years; children: Douglas A. (Annette) of Camarillo, Calif., Debra A.(Keith) Sweitzer of Moorpark, Calif., Judith L. (Edward) Anderson of Hellertown, William M. (Dina) of Easton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by nine siblings.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 1 p.m. Military Honors will be provided. Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
