An Allentown woman will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after Lower Saucon Township Police say she skidded more than 200 feet off the 1300 block of Seidersville Road in a single-vehicle crash at about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said Sexybeth Garcia, 32, of the 1000 block of W. Liberty Street, lost control of her vehicle while traveling eastbound and “left the roadway, skidding sideways, (and) striking a tree stump 48.5 feet off the roadway.”

Police said Garcia’s vehicle then “spun around and continued backwards through the front yard of 1328 Seidersville Road for another 155 feet before coming to rest.”

Garcia was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, police said.
