If it is, you might want to consider an employment opportunity with the U.S. Postal Service in Hellertown.

The Hellertown post office is currently seeking a rural carrier associate for a rural route in Lower Saucon Township.

Days and hours vary, and RCAs must be available to work on an as-needed basis.

Applicants must also have a valid PA driver’s license, a clean driving record and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger vehicles.

The job has an exam requirement. Applicants who do not yet have an exam score are being invited to take the requisite exam, subject to limitations.

The salary range for the position is $17.40 per hour, paid biweekly.

According to a job listing, “this is a non-career position, which may lead to a career position depending on organizational needs.”

“Within the first few months after you are hired, you may become eligible to enroll in the USPS Health Benefits Plan with a Postal Service premium contribution,” it states. “After one year of service, RCAs may be eligible for health insurance under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, dental and vision insurance through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program, and long term care insurance through the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program.”
