Details about an alleged domestic assault involving the strangulation of a female victim have emerged in police and court records, which state that Brian J. Breslin, 54, of the 2200 block of Marlin Road, Lower Saucon Township, became “enraged” and allegedly told the woman to “say nice things” to get him to stop choking her, Lehigh Valley Live reported Wednesday.

According to the article, the woman was sitting on a couch in Breslin’s home Saturday at around 9 p.m. when he allegedly grabbed her neck, dragged her into a bathroom, threw her in a tub and began to hit her in the face.

Breslin was incarcerated at Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $5,000 bail following an arraignment Monday on charges of strangulation (Felony 2), simple assault (Misdemeanor 2) and harassment (summary) before District Judge John Capobianco, and is now free on a $500 private surety that was posted on his behalf Tuesday, according to online court records.
