The Hellertown Community Pool opened Saturday, June 10, just in time for the arrival of an early summer heat wave.
On Sunday, the pool was packed with people seeking relief from 93-degree heat in its cool, blue waters.
The hot weather in eastern Pennsylvania is forecast to continue at least through Tuesday, with brilliant sunshine and highs in the low 90s predicted.
The pool, located at 575 Durham St., Hellertown, is open daily from noon to 7 p.m. through late August, weather permitting.
