Marie D. Carter, 80, of Bethlehem Township, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her son’s residence. She was the wife of William A. Carter.

Marie D. Carter, 80, of Bethlehem Township, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her son’s residence. She was the wife of William A. Carter. She was born in Bingen, Lower Saucon Township on Nov. 3, 1936 to the late Charles and Florence (Sames) Dimmig. Marie was a homemaker. In her earlier years she was a seamstress at Nicky Lynn Sportswear, Bethlehem Township, and Fountain Hill Mills, Fountain Hill. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Township, and prior to marriage she was a Sunday School teacher at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her husband of 54 years; children: Kathryn M. Holotyak of Wind Gap, William R. of Bethlehem and David B. (Esmeralda) of Bethlehem Township; siblings: Dorothy (Grant) Hawk and Robert Dimmig, all of Hellertown; grandchildren: Jennifer, John and Ashley. Marie was predeceased by siblings: Elizabeth, Nelson, William, David, Charles, Florence and Larry; son-in-law: John Holotyak Jr.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
