A male juvenile will be cited for retail theft after Hellertown Police say he allegedly shoplifted from Rite Aid, 110 Main Street, on Christmas Eve.

A male juvenile will be cited for retail theft after Hellertown Police say he allegedly shoplifted from Rite Aid, 110 Main Street, on Christmas Eve.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said officers were dispatched to the store at 6:15 p.m. and subsequently located the boy in an “offending vehicle leaving the area” that was stopped.

Police did not specify what was allegedly stolen from the store.

The boy was taken into custody, police said, and the case is being handled by juvenile authorities.

  • Maybe it was a Christmas gift for his Mom. Or treats for younger brothers and sisters. I sure hope that if it turns out to be something like this, someone gives the kid a good talking to, so that he understands that love and good will are the best gifts. If he is a kid with a juvie record, well that is a different story isn’t it.
