A Center Valley woman is charged with two counts of DUI-Controlled Substance after Hellertown police say she “almost hit a fire truck” while driving through the intersection of Main and Water streets Feb. 8.
In a news release, police said Jenny Lynn Jones, 41, of Center Valley, ran a red light when she allegedly nearly caused the accident around 12:30 a.m., and was later found stopped at 7-Eleven, 1100 Main Street.
Following an investigation that included drug testing, police said Jones was determined to be under the influence of methamphetamine.
According to court records, a preliminary hearing in Jones’ case is scheduled for April 11 at 9:15 a.m. before District Judge Alan Mege in Lower Saucon Township.
