Man Admits to Being Under Influence Drugs When He Caused Rt. 412 Crash, Police Say

An Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County, man, has admitted to being under the influence of drugs–including methamphetamine, crack cocaine and heroin–when he allegedly caused an accident on Rt. 412 in Springfield Township April 2, according to authorities.

An Upper Black Eddy, Bucks County, man, has admitted to being under the influence of drugs–including methamphetamine, crack cocaine and heroin–when he allegedly caused an accident on Rt. 412 in Springfield Township April 2, according to authorities.

Springfield Township police said in a post published Tuesday on their Crimewatch website that Neil V. Gross, 30, was also allegedy driving on a suspended license when the three-vehicle crash occurred.

Police said Gross is charged with Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (a misdemeanor), Driving DUI on a Suspended License (a misdemeanor) and Careless Driving (a summary charge).

According to court records Gross has also been cited for speeding and failure to keep right.

A preliminary hearing in his case is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Monday in front of District Judge Gary Gambardella in Bucks County District Court 07-3-03 in Ottsville, according to the records.

Police did not specify where the accident on Rt. 412 in the township occurred.
