A Hellertown man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly drove while intoxicated and hit parked cars in Quakertown borough Wednesday.
A news report published Friday by WFMZ Channel 69 News states that Padraic Stimpson, 28, allegedly struck parked cars in the area of 20 N. Hellertown Avenue, which is near E. Broad Street (Rt. 313) in Quakertown.
According to court records, Stimpson is charged with DUI-High Rate of Alcohol (BAC .10 – <.16), DUI-Controlled Substance/Impaired Ability, DUI-Controlled Substance/Combination of Alcohol/Drugs, two other counts of DUI, Failure to Stop and Give Information/Render Aid, Accidental Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property, Careless Driving and Disregarding a Traffic Lane.
The five DUI charges are all misdemeanors and first offenses. The four other charges are classified as summary offenses.
Following a preliminary arraignment before Judge Jan Vilosky early Thursday, Stimpson was committed to the Bucks County Correctional Center, according to court records.
He was freed Friday on nonmonetary bail and has a preliminary hearing before District Judge Lisa J. Gaier scheduled for May 31 at 1 p.m., records state.
