Blu is a four-year-old terrier mix who is currently in foster care. She was starving to death on the streets of Memphis, Tenn., when she was rescued, and is now being treated for advanced heartworm disease. Despite it all, she is sweet, loving and eager to please. Blu is not a fan of cats and is selective of her dog friends.
To meet Blu and other pets in need of homes please visit the nonprofit, no-kill Center for Animal Health and Welfare located at 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, or call 610-252-2722 for more information.

If the dog you would like to meet is at the shelter, the center recommends calling the front desk to schedule a visit. Scheduling a visit will give you the personal attention you need to see if the dog you’re interested in is a good fit. Unscheduled visits are allowed but are limited to one dog per day for a maximum of 15 minutes per visit.
The center is open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m.
