Carnival

The 102nd Annual Dewey Fire Company Carnival is now under way at Dimmick Park in Hellertown.

The carnival opened Tuesday evening, with rides, food, games and other attractions for all ages.

One of the highlights of Tuesday’s carnival was a special appearance by the Bethlehem Mounted Police, including George and Pharaoh and Officers Strydesky and Danko.

The Lower Saucon Township Police Department’s K-9 Unit also performed a demonstration for carnival attendees Tuesday.

Wednesday night at the carnival is Car & Truck Show Night, with local racecar drivers making an appearance to sign autographs for fans.

It is also a wristband night. Purchasers of a $20 wristband can ride unlimited rides all night long.

The Dewey Fire Co. Carnival continues through this Saturday, July 21. It is open from 6 to 10 p.m. nightly.

The annual fireworks display will be held at 10 p.m. Friday (rain date: Saturday at 10 p.m.).
