Thieves Smashed Van Windows to Steal Stihl Chainsaw, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying the person or people who broke into a disabled van parked in the upper lot at Polk Valley Park on the night of Oct. 19 and stole several items from it.

Lower Saucon Township Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying the person or people who broke into a disabled van parked in the upper lot at Polk Valley Park on the night of Oct. 19 and stole several items from it.

In a news release published on the department’s Crimewatch website Monday, police said rocks and the van’s own battery were used to smash several windows and gain access to the inside of the vehicle sometime during the overnight hours.

Police said a Stihl chainsaw and a Stihl concrete saw were both stolen.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to submit an anonymous tip through the Crimewatch page or call the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110 and reference Incident #20181019M7222.
