Neil G. Stackhouse, 82, of Springfield Township died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Peffer) Stackhouse. Neil was born in Hellertown on Jan. 5, 1937 to the late Vernon G. and Geraldine (Sandt) Stackhouse. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War for four years, where he worked for the Secret Service decoding military information. Neil worked in cryogenics at Air Products, Trexlertown for 40 years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter locally and internationally; a member of the NRA and local sportsman’s associations; and enjoyed fishing in his later years.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 57 years; sons: Jonathan G. of Hellertown, Rory P. (Tracy Lynn) of Riegelsville; grandchildren: Courtney June (Tobias J. Riccardi), Skye L.; great-grandchildren: Inteuz and Karuke Riccardi. He was predeceased by son: Shawn N. Stackhouse, who died Feb. 8, 1986.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Military honors will be accorded by the Edward H.
